Dave Barrett, Managing Director

Dave Barrett, The Boss Originally a Mechanical Engineer by profession, Dave spent time as a Mechanical Project Manager before moving into PC-based CADCAM in the mid 1980s. He started to create bespoke software systems in the early 1990s, and co-founded DBLogic in 1995. Now he uses his considerable industry experience to help customers realise their business aspirations by guiding them and providing honest advice, as well as taking a lead role in the management of DBL's software development projects. Dave's passions include photography, model engineering and railways, which may explain why the DBL office is next to a main-line station...

Sara Barrett, Office Manager

Dave Barrett, The Boss Sara started her career in secretarial positions, before spending time working for companies in the financial services sector with a specialism in independent financial advice. Within DBL, Sara is in charge of human resources and accounts management. Her interests include reading, gardening, keep fit, walking and most definitely not railways, which may explain why, though the DBL office is next to a main-line station, Sara keeps her desk facing away from the track.

Brian Roberts, Support Manager

Brian Roberts, Ninja Brian originally joined DBL as a software developer in 2000 after attaining a degree in International Enterprise and Innovation. He now manages the support department, tracking, understanding and swiftly resolving any issues that are reported by customers. His expertise lies in web and Windows-based development, and rapid problem solving. He prides himself on the front-line support he and his team give to customers, giving them the help they need when they need it. Brian is also a keen martial artist, possessing a third degree black sash in Lau Gar Kung Fu and a high-grade belt in Tae Kwon Do, amongst others.

Gareth Hall, Software Development Manager

Gareth Hall, Superman Gareth joined DBL in early 2005, and has a Masters degree in Information Technology as well as a Bachelors degree in Philosophy and Politics. His responsibilities include the technical design of all new systems, and the management of the development team throughout the implementation of all projects. His strengths are object-oriented design and development, database design and SQL programming. Outside of work, Gareth enjoys writing, video games, spending time with his extended family and is a big fan of Star Trek, though he hastens to add that he has never dressed up as a Klingon (in public, anyway.)
